Precinct Chairs are the grassroots foundation of the Republican Party—the deepest root of the grass in politics.
The most important responsibility of a Republican Precinct Chair is building the Republican Party where it actually begins: inside the precinct. That means focusing on neighbors, families, volunteers, and voters—not internal party disputes.
A Precinct Chair’s core responsibilities are:
- Building and growing the Republican base in the precinct by identifying voters, helping register new Republicans, recruiting volunteers, and strengthening relationships at the neighborhood level
- Keeping voters informed of upcoming elections, key deadlines, where to vote, election results, and how to engage with their local elected officials
- Turning out the Republican vote by organizing, communicating, and supporting candidates and ballot initiatives during elections
- Administering Republican primary elections and precinct conventions to ensure a fair, orderly, and transparent process
- Serving as the precinct’s representative on the County Executive Committee, giving local voters a voice in county party business
After nearly three decades working in Republican politics—as a field operative, campaign professional, and former Political Director of the Republican Party of Texas—Travis Griffin knows firsthand that nothing is more valuable to winning elections than an actively engaged, precinct-focused Chair.
In fact, while serving as Political Director of the RPT, Travis helped train and build the statewide network of Precinct Chairs, contributing to the very manuals used to define the role today.
Precinct 264 deserves a Chair who is focused on unifying Republicans, organizing locally, and mobilizing voters—not dividing the party or fighting fellow Republicans. The job is to build the Republican Party inside the precinct first—and everything else second.
When you head to the polls on March 3, 2026, vote for Travis Griffin as your Republican Precinct Chair for Precinct 264.
He’s ready to do the work—right where it matters most.
